ESPOCH carried out dissemination activities for the International Professional Educator Registry (IPER)

Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, through the YANKAY Capacity Development Center, held a dissemination session on March 13, 2026, about the International Professional Educator Registry (IPER), within the framework of the ETALENT project, an initiative aimed at transforming and strengthening learning among higher education faculty in Ecuador.

The event was attended by institutional authorities, including Eng. Byron Vaca Barahona, PhD, Rector of ESPOCH; Eng. Jenny Basantes, PhD, Academic Vice-Rector; deans, program coordinators, and faculty members from different schools. They highlighted the importance of strengthening academic training through international standards that promote excellence in university teaching.

During the event, Dr. José Carlos Quadrado, President of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), presented the International Professional Educator Registry (IPER), emphasizing its impact on the global recognition of teaching practice. Currently, this registry has expanded its scope beyond engineering and now includes educators from various fields of knowledge, such as social sciences, basic sciences, education, administration, and health sciences.
