E TALENT kicks off in Porto: A strong start for Ecuador’s educator transformation

Porto, Portugal — May 22–24, 2025. Partners of the Erasmus+ CBHE project Ecuadorian tertiary educators Transformation And Learning EnhaNcemenT (E TALENT) gathered at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) for a productive three-day kick-off meeting, setting the tone for a high-impact, four-year collaboration.

The kick-off featured institutional presentations from European and Ecuadorian universities and organizations, spotlighting strengths in teaching innovation, digital transformation, and internationalization—laying the groundwork for an energized collaboration.

What we achieved together

  • Shared vision & roadmap. The coordination team introduced E TALENT’s objectives, outputs, timeline, and management approach, aligning partners on technical, financial, and reporting expectations.
  • Nine Work Packages, one coherent plan. WP leaders presented targets, deliverables, KPIs, and milestones across the 48-month project, agreeing on interdependencies and update rhythms to keep progress on track.
  • Governance in place. The consortium approved the Management Board (MB), Steering Board (SB), and Quality Assurance Board (QAB) to ensure smooth coordination, quality, and accountability.

Looking ahead

With the plan, governance, and financing framework in place, E TALENT moves confidently into implementation—focused on empowering Ecuador’s higher-education educators and elevating teaching excellence nationwide.
